The appropriate cast technology helps resin penetrate to every gap between windings, layers and subsections to ensure the electrical insulation strength and a low partial discharge value(≤ 5pc) Prevention of fracturing on castings, restraint of bubble in the casting andreduction of partial discharge value to a minimum are always considered a great challenge to worldwide transformer manufacturers and critical to the manufacturing of cast resin dry-type transformer. Now our company has successfully solved this cutting-edge problem after frequently practicing physical and chemical studies and experiments and trial production. The technology we have developed helps upgrade the over all mechanical performance of resin solid and set our product - chopped glass fibel filled vacuum cast thin layered insulation windings - in new parameter: tensile strength at 170N/mm2 and bending strength at 200N/mm.

The unique technology makes SCB10 and SCBll resin cast thin insulated dry-type transformer different with the following features:

1. Skin off the encapsulating resin laver to allow better heat diffusion of coils.

2. The coils are consolidated by glass fiber cloth to increase its mechanicastrength and capability to resist emergent short circuit and consequently prevent fractures on castings.

3. The adoption of unique workmanship on coils helps to reduce the internal partial discharge of the coils dramatically and increase the electrical strength.

4. Foil structure for LV windings helps to reduce coil-end magnetic leakage andincrease the resistance to emergent short circuit.
