The system now operates with the following products: 1150KV, 1200MV·A, 735~765KV, 800MV·A, 400~500KV, 3-phase 750MV·A or single-phase 550MV·A, 220KV, 3-phase 1300MV·A power transformer, and DC transmission ±500KV, 400MV·A converter transformers. Power transformers are primarily oil-immersed, with two product structures: core type and shell type. Core type manufacturing accounts for 95%, whereas shell type accounts for just 5%. There is no clear benefit between the core and shell types, but the core type procedure is relatively easy, thus it is used by most businesses, but the shell type structure and process are more complex, and only conventional manufacturers employ them. The shell type is ideal for high voltage and huge capacities. It has benefits in insulation and mechanics.
